Itinerary
Day 1

Depart London Heathrow Airport on scheduled Air China overnight flight to Beijing.

Day 2
Beijing

On arrival, transfer to 4 star Tian'tan Hotel in Beijing for a three night stay. Rest of the day is free. (D)

Day 3
Beijing

Take a full day excursion to explore the incredible Forbidden City, with its grand palaces, courtyards and gardens. Visit the beautiful Summer Palace of gardens, temples and halls in a tranquil, landscaped area. (B,L)

Day 4
Beijing

Full day guided visit to the awesome Mutiannyun Section of the Great Wall of China, including a one way cable car ride to the summit. (B,L)

Day 5
Beijing - Yichang

Morning visit to the Temple of Heaven, with its ornate 15th century architecture. Observe locals doing their morning Tai Chi exercises. Fly to Yichang where we embark on the MV Yangtze Paradise for a four night cruise, in outside cabins, on a full board basis. (B,D)

Day 6
Yangtze River

Sail through the magnificent Xiling Gorge and visit the museum of the mighty Three Gorges Dam. (B,L,D)

Day 7
Yangtze River

Experience a cruise in a traditional wooden boat on Shennong Stream. Returning to the vessel, sail through the stunning Wu and Qutang Gorges.(B,L,D)

Day 8
Yangtze River

Visit to Fengdu located on the northern bank of the Yangtze and known as, known as “The Ghost City”. (B,L,D)

Day 9
Chongqing - Xi'ian

Arrive at the mountain city Chongqing in the morning, visit the old city and the Zoo where you can see giant pandas. Evening flight to Xi’an. Transfer to the 4 star Jianguo or Garden Hotel for a two night stay. (B,L)

Day 10
Xi'an

Full day guided visit to the impressive Terracotta Museum, where life-sized infantrymen, archers, officers and their horses symbolically guard the tomb of the first Qin emperor. Continue to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, City Wall and Grand Mosque. This evening we enjoy a Tang Dynasty Cultural Show. (B,L)

Day 11
Xi'an - Beijing

Morning visit to the fascinating Han Dynasty Yangling Tomb. Later fly to Beijing and return to the Tian'tan or Rainbow Hotel for a two-night stay. (B,D)

Day 12
Beijing

Day at leisure in Beijing. Optional excursions available. This evening a famous Peking Duck Dinner is included. (B,D)

Day 13

Transfer to the airport for return scheduled flight to London Heathrow arriving later the same day. (B)Alternatively, extend your stay - please call for details.
