Built in 1988 the Lord of the Glens underwent a complete re-construction in Spain in 2000. This makes her the only vessel able to navigate both the Caledonian Canal and the open sea.

With its rich mahogany interiors and teak-clad promenade and viewing decks the ship has the ambiance of a luxury yacht. You can relax in the plush sofas of the bar and lounge area on the top deck where you'll have fantastic views before enjoying excellent food, freshly prepared from local ingredients, in the elegant restaurant.

There are 27 tastefully furnished luxury state cabins. They are equipped with satellite TV, hairdryer and safe deposit box and also benefit from air-conditioning, a music system and internal phone. All cabins are outside with the majority having large picture windows. Dress is generally smart casual with jackets worn for dinner. Extra efforts are normally made for the Captain’s Welcome and Farewell receptions, but this is optional.
