Itinerary
Day 1

Depart London Gatwick on direct flight to Luxor. On arrival you will be met by our local representatives and transferred the short journey to the 5 star MS RA II for your seven night cruise on a full board basis. (D)

Day 2

This morning sail on the timeless Nile north to Dendera to a site considered to be one of the best preserved examples from the Graeco Roman Period. Return to the MS RA ll for free time and sail back to Luxor to the vessel's private mooring site. (B,L,D)

Day 3

Morning visit to the Valley of the Kings. The most famous attraction is of course the tomb of Tutankhamun (which carries an extra charge). Your Egyptologist will be on hand to recommend and advise you as to which tomb to visit. Later, visit the impressive mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Afternoon visit to the temple complexes of Luxor and Karnak - considered to be one of the world's greatest architectural masterpieces. Evening sail to Esna.(B,L,D)

Day 4

Visit to the temple of Edfu, which is dedicated to the God Horus, the falcon-headed God. Return to the vessel and sail to Aswan and overnight. (B,L,D)

Day 5

Morning excursion to the High Dam and by boat to the Temple of Philae. Afternoon visit to Kitchener Island with its many exotic plants and trees - a beautiful botanical garden. (B,L,D)

Day 6

Morning free in Aswan to explore one of the many markets or take an optional excursion by air to Abu Simbel - one of the most amazing ancient sites and a feat of modern technology. Later, sail to Kom Ombo and visit the temple dedicated to the crocodile God Sobek. After your return to the MS RA II, sail to Esna.(B,L,D)

Day 7

Pass through the lock at Esna and continue to Luxor. Stroll through the colourful and lively markets or visit the interesting Luxor Museum. (B,L,D)

Day 8

Disembark and transfer to Luxor Airport for return flight to Gatwick.(B,L) Unfortunately it is not possible to extend your stay on this holiday.
