We believe that a pod of feeding whales, mountain
goats perched on the cliffs and birds diving for their supper
are sights too important to miss. This route is designed for
spontaneity, flexible enough to accommodate nature’s
everyday surprises as you explore the untamed wilderness of
Alaska’s Inside Passage.

| DAY 1 |
JUNEAU EMBARKATION
Independent arrival to board your vessel. Blue Water Holidays
can assist with travel to Juneau. Relax this evening as
your ship sails toward adventure.
D |
| DAY 2 |
ICY STRAIT ACTIVITIES
AND WHALE WATCHING
This is a day devoted to kayaking and off-vessel exploration
in the boundary waters of Glacier Bay National Park. These
waters are home to one of the largest concentrations of
migrating humpback whale in Alaska.
BLD |
| DAY 3 |
GLACIER BAY NATIONAL
PARK
We devote the entire day to cruising Glacier Bay, navigating
through the milky blue, ice-strewn waters to view thousand-foot
peaks of glaciers, with high waterfalls cascading down
cliffs. This area is both a World Heritage Site and a
Biosphere Reserve. View Grand Pacific, Marjorie and Lamplugh
Glaciers. Port call at Glacier Bay Lodge and enjoy a presentation
from the National Park Service.

| DAY 4 |
ISLAND CRUISING AND
ADVENTURE ACTIVITIES
Today, explore the east sides of Chichagof and Baranof
Islands, pausing for adventure activities in the Captain’s
favorite secluded inlet.
BLD |
| DAY 5 |
ADMIRALTY ISLAND ACTIVITIES
Cruise Admiralty Island, “ Fortress of the Bears,” home
to reputedly the largest population of brown bears on
earth. Admiralty Island National Monument awaits– a
million acres of wilderness dotted with small Tlingit
villages. It’s another area the big ships will
never see, much less explore. Nearby, we find time for
adventure activity in these beautiful surroundings.
BLD |
| DAY 6 |
ENDICOTT ARM AND ADVENTURE
ACTIVITIES
Explore more of Alaska’s remote waterways with a
full day devoted to exploration and off-vessel activities.
BLD |
| DAY 7 |
TRACY ARM FJORD,
ACTIVITIES &
SCENIC CRUISING
Start your morning with off-vessel activities. As you
cruise the narrow passages of Tracy Arm to the Twin Sawyer
Glaciers you are dwarfed by cliffs of ice and surrounded
by bergs in the water below. Stay on the lookout for harbour
seal that often rest atop floating chunks of ice, safe
from predators.

| DAY 8 |
JUNEAU & RETURN
HOME
Disembark after breakfast. Head for home with
your included airport transfer and fond memories.

| A note about published itineraries:
sailing in remote waters has special challenges and responsibilities.
Therefore we may occasionally alter itineraries for safety,
or to take advantage of weather, wildlife and unplanned
discoveries. Our ability to be spontaneous is a benefit
you will never find on a larger ship. We believe this
makes our style of cruising unique in Alaska. After all,
wildlife pays no heed to human timetables; why should
we? |
